Think Tank KG
The news site of The Knowledge Gardens. We cover the technologies that make lives better — AI, robotics, energy, health, materials — with short films instead of columns, and with a receipt on every claim.
What this is
Most technology news arrives as either hype or fear. We think the more useful question is the one a good editor asks: what actually happened, who checked it, and what does it make possible for an ordinary person? So each week we take one episode of the Moonshots podcast and the week's announcements, check every claim against a primary source, and turn what survives into a set of one-story films. The optimism is earned: it comes after the checking, not instead of it.
Our motto is Aikido the AI (#aikidotheAI). Aikido does not fight the force coming at it; it redirects it. The wave of intelligence is arriving either way. We would rather show people how to ride it — and point it at lives made better.
How we check
The one rule: a lead is not a fact. A podcast, an article, a press release or a founder's own number is a lead. It becomes VERIFIED only when a named, dated primary source says it — a peer-reviewed paper, a patent, a regulatory filing, an agency or standards document, a company's own primary document, or a named credentialed expert. Everything else is aired with its label, never stripped to make a story cleaner.
- VfVERIFIED
A named, dated primary source says it: the paper, the filing, the agency, the company's own document. - CxCORRECTION
The tape said one thing; the record says another. We keep the fix on screen, beside the claim it corrects. - SrSELF-REPORTED
The company's own claim about itself, not yet checked by anyone else. - GsGUESS
Someone's forecast or back-of-envelope conversion. Interesting, labelled, not a fact. - UvUNVERIFIABLE
We looked and found no record that could hold it. It stays in, wearing this label. - HoHOUSE
The garden's own voice: a thesis, a closing thought, an opinion that looks like one.
Every number carries its unit and its date, because a number that moves is not a fact; it is a number on a date. We never air an ordinal leaderboard rank. We attach claims to companies, filings, papers and agencies — never to private persons — and we do not put words in anyone's mouth: a quotation appears only when the person published it themselves.
Corrections
Corrections are phrased the tape said X; the record says Y, and they stay on screen beside the claim they correct. Find an error we missed and we will pin the correction with your name on it — write to press@theknowledgegardens.com. Every card's chip can move between films as better sources land; the record is a process, not a verdict.
Disclosure
Think Tank KG is published by The Knowledge Gardens, a company building verified, domain-specific knowledge for people and for AI systems. When a story touches our own ventures or partners, we say so on the film's page and in the post. The films are made with AI image, motion and music tools under human editorial direction; the founder writes and records the voice-over, presses the songs, and makes the publish click himself. AI-made is stated plainly whenever it comes up, never hidden.
How it's made
A film starts with the transcript and ends with a claims ledger: a table of every statement, its chip, its primary source and its date. The cards on screen are compiled from that ledger, so what the film asserts and what the record holds cannot drift apart. The pictures are the argument; the voice, when there is one, comes last and sparse.

The Knowledge Gardens
A family of verified knowledge gardens — building, toxicology, health, education and more — whose shared purpose is the ground truth AI needs to survive. Think Tank KG is its growth edge, and its public voice.
Ancient tools, growth-edge tools.
The films are shot in two registers: the grain and colour of 1960s and 70s European cinema for the human world — workshops, kitchens, archives, faces — and the copper-and-teal schematic register for the machine world. Copper pencil on parchment ties them together. Light is meaning: cold blue for control and fear, warm gold for life and freedom.
